Every Reginald Parker piece is made with full-grain vegetable-tanned Italian leather. This is because of its ability to develop character over time.
Natural leather evolves through use. Small marks, softening, and patina are not flaws of the product but rather the character it has developed through its time with you.
With proper care, your selection is intended to remain in use for years to come.
Everyday care
Leather benefits from regular use and simple care.
To make sure your article is looking its best:
Avoid prolonged exposure to water
Store away from direct heat and sunlight
Keep away from sharp objects and rough surfaces
Avoid overfilling pockets or compartments
Wipe gently with a soft cloth when required.
Leather should be used, not hidden away.
It is through regular use that our products develop their rich patina and character, which makes every piece unique.
Water exposure
Vegetable-tanned leather is a natural material and should be protected when possible from moisture
If your item becomes wet:
- Pat gently using a soft cloth
- Allow it to dry naturally at room temperature
- Avoid using radiators, hair dryers, ovens, or direct heat sources.
- Once dry, lightly condition if needed
Conditioning
Throughout its lifetime, leather items may benefit from occasional conditioning.
We recommend conditioning only when the leather begins to feel noticeably dry
Apply sparingly using a soft cloth and allow the leather to absorb naturally before buffing.
The use of excess conditioner can cause discoloration and soften the leather
Less is often more.
Storage
When not in use:
- Store in a cool, dry environment
-Avoid plastic bags or airtight containers
-Keep away from prolonged sunlight
- Maintain shape when possible
For long-term storage, we recommend using the original packaging
